What is a CSA, you might ask?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.
Berkeley Basket CSA is an intensively cultivated urban farm that currently produces enough fresh produce for 14 families using 2 Berkeley backyards.
Becoming a member of the Berkeley Basket CSA means you are committed to paying a weekly fee during the remainder of the season, and in return receiving a weekly share of fresh vegetables.
The CSA Basket is filled with local, seasonal produce each week. Below is a snapshot of what you will receive each week. You can purchase additional items like arranged flowers and honey.
Every week there are 8-10 items in your basket- with at least one item from each category below.
Braising Greens- kale, chard, and collards
Salad Greens- spinach, arugula or head lettuce
Culinary and Medicinal Herbs- cilantro, sage, thyme, parsley, dill, mint, lavender, chamomile, basil
Vegetables- squash, eggplant, artichokes, corn, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, and more
Alliums- leeks, garlic, onions
Edible Flowers- bachelor buttons, roses, nasturtiums, chamomile

As our garden sites are residential homes, we only share the addresses with members and volunteers. Arranging a pickup for Wednesdays is possible if needed!
